Smooth and medium-bodied, "Anton" blends three Bordeaux varietals in perfect harmony: old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon 58%, Merlot 25%, and Petit Verdot 17%. This velvety, medium-bodied blend offers a beautiful nose of black currant, boysenberry and cherry, with notes of anise and spice. Layers of vanilla, raspberry and smoke add to the complexity of flavor. With soft tannins and a defined finish, this versatile, elegant wine resonates with rich Napa Valley flavor and Old-World finesse alike.
Winemaker Notes
Blends are my favorite wines to make because the sole focus is on great flavor. This label, Anton, named for our Founding Father (my great-great-grandfather) deserves our Reserve status because we use only premium Bordeaux varietals, harmoniously united. I am looking for depth and complexity. The Cabernet Sauvignon is the backbone of this blend, but the Merlot and Petit Verdot add nuanced layers. Winemaker: Aimée Sunseri, Nichelini 5th generation
