About This Item
Medium-bodied with gripping tannins, "Anton" blends two Bordeaux varietals in perfect harmony: old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon 89% and Merlot 11%. This blend offers a beautiful nose of black cherry, blackberry, with hints of warm spice and herbaceousnes. The additional flavors of toasted oak, vanilla, and spice round out the pallet. With gripping tannins and a defined finish, this versatile, elegant wine resonates with rich Napa Valley flavor and Old-World finesse alike.
Winemaker Notes
Blends are my favorite wines to make because the sole focus is on great flavor. This label, Anton, named for our Founding Father (my great-great-grandfather) deserves our Reserve status because we use only premium Bordeaux varietals, harmoniously united. I am looking for depth and complexity. The Cabernet Sauvignon is the backbone of this blend, but the Merlot and Cab Franc add nuanced layers. Winemaker: Aimée Sunseri, Nichelini 5th generation
